Yes, well I'm doing general posting as I was not able to have the time to review, however, David, being David, will provide enough for me to get a good gist on it. It's always fun to see what other law enforcement folks write about. My dad said the one cop show on television that even came close to how things were for him was Barney Miller!
Wow, Geralyn. My dad was a cop too. He worked as a homicide detective, vice, communications, you name it. He even did some limited SWAT stuff, but our little suburb didn't need a lot of big guns. Dad went to the FBI Academy in Quantico too.
I think you'd like Mark's book, if and when you ever get time. You are, after all the Mistress of time. :)
I'm looking forward to reading the book; I did enjoy Ed McBain's cop books, but the treatment of plots were shallow. From all I've read about Mark's book, it is deeper.
I worked for several years as a dispatcher for an RCMP detachment near Vancouver. Often times truth is stranger than fiction in their world!

Yes, being raised by, or married to, a cop is interesting. And now my son is a cop in Stockton California working mainly with the gangs. YIKES! Gee girls, we could probably write a book! Truth IS stranger than fiction as Cyn says!
